The Adventures of Tintin – review
by Toby Woollaston
We finally got to see Tintin. Not fully familiar with the Tintin universe (I read Asterix growing up instead) but I was keen to have the blanks filled in. See the rest of the review here.

Spielberg may not score much points when it comes to his use of motion-capture animation here but the film still benefits from a fun and kinetic direction that brings him back to his old Indiana Jones days. Serkis is a riot the whole time as well. Great review. Check out mine when you get the chance.
Thanks. Yes I agree there is a definite “kinetic” feel to Tintin as you suggest. I read somewhere that they thought Serkis was over acting. They couldn’t have been more wrong, and as you say I thought Haddock was a riot.
I agree with most of your points and I said some of the same things in my review. I especially agree with the realism of some of the sets. I saw it in 3D and in some instances I had to take my 3D glasses off to see if I was looking at something that was real or computer generated. Good review.
